“Ji ni tai mei” was not an original lyric. In Cai Xukun’s 2018 iQIYI self-introduction, basketball, dance and SWIN-S’s “Zhi yin ni tai mei” appeared together. Wider basketball attention resurfaced the clip; the fast line sounded like “the chicken is too beautiful.” Bilibili-style remixes then detached the sound from its target, making it reusable shorthand for basketball, chickens and intentionally stale internet chaos.
